If your customized Mtrunk browser now shows " MozillaQuest Mtrunk Browser " in its Title Bar, congratulations -- you have just made your first, albeit simple, customized Mozilla browser.
If you do not see your title change, you might need to restart Mozilla. Also, you need to bypass the Mozilla JAR files as that MozillaQuest Magic tutorial shows you how to so do. If you did not do that end-run around the JAR files, you need to do that in order to see your branding changes!
More Branding -- Changing the Application Logo
Next, let's change the M logo. It's to the right of the URL or Location window on the navigation bar. Close Mozilla before you change the M Logo.
1). Look in the \Mozilla\bin\chrome\classic\skin\classic\global directory in the folder where you have installed Mozilla.
2). The M logo is the animthrob_single.gif in that chrome\ classic\skin\classic\global directory. Take a look at animthrob_single.gif in your browser. Please notice that it is a 32x32 pixel image.
3). Use your favorite graphics program to make a new 32x32 pixel logo. We used Adobe Photoshop 6. If you like you can use the 32x32 MQ icon we made for this article. To do that just get it from the Resources Section below and save it to your hard drive. We call it MQ-logo-grays-01_32x32.gif in the Resources Section.
4). Next, rename MQ-logo-grays-01_32x32.gif to animthrob_single.gif and copy that newly renamed animthrob_single.gif file to the
\Mozilla\bin\chrome\classic\skin\classic\global directory. You will overwrite the original animthrob_single.gif when you do this.

If your customized Mozilla browser now shows the gray and black MQ logo, congratulations -- you just have finished making your first, albeit simple, customized Mozilla browser. If it does not, you might have to reboot your computer and then launch your newly branded Mozilla for the change to take effect.
However, if you try to go to a Web site, the MQ logo vanishes. That's because there is a second logo image file, animthrob.gif. That's the name for the animated GIF that replaces the single-frame GIF when the Mozilla browser is downloading and laying out Web pages. You will learn how to make your own animated logo GIF and add it to your customized Mozilla browser in an upcoming edition of the MozillaQuest series.
